VU is a videoconferencing outreach initiative set up in 2004 by Bedford School with the University of Sheffield and the Sutton Trust. Using videoconferencing technology to inspire and inform Higher Education choices of sixth form students around the country, a range of universities now delivers lectures, tutorials, demonstrations, and career advice to a network of schools.
VU enables students to experience the level and diversity of study available at university, and sometimes to consider university as an option for the first time.
We are now extending our current remit and increasing its relevance to students by also informing and inspiring their career choices. To do this effectively we are establishing industry partners who would like to talk to school students about the opportunities they offer.
If you are a school, college, university or business, please contact VU to get involved or to find out more about the VU videoconferencing community.
